TASKS

• Plans , suggests and takes care of the implementation of policies, programs, actions and measures for the protection and upgrading of the environment in the area of the Municipality.
• Takes measures to protect and upgrade the aesthetics of the city and settlements.
• Takes care of the protection and management of water resources and the fight against pollution in the area of the Municipality.
• Monitors the implementation of the regulations concerning the protected areas in the geographical area of the Municipality, in cooperation with other competent services.
• Controls and suggests the regulation of environmental protection issues, in accordance with the jurisdictions given to the Municipality with the applicable provisions.
