TASKS

Its responsibility includes:

• The monitoring of Legislation, Presidential Decrees, Ministerial Decisions, etc. referring to issues concerning local authorities.
• The elaboration and preparation of the draft contracts, contracts, announcements or terms of auctions that are forwarded to plans by the competent services of the Municipality, when required by special reasons.
• The representation and participation in all kinds of councils, committees, conferences, working groups, etc. by order of the Mayor, the Committees or the Municipal Council
• The representation before any kind and degree of Courts for the defense of the interests of the Municipality.
• The keeping of a file of the court cases of the Municipality, of the relevant decisions of the courts and a record of these data.
• The secretarial support of the Department is provided by Administrative employees and / or by practicing Lawyers.
• The provisions of Law 1093/1980 “on the amendment of the Code on Lawyers (ND 3026/1954) etc.” apply to all the lawyers of the Municipality, which are getting paid a monthly salary.
